Cari issued a challenge. Specifically a photo challenge to hone our skills. This weeks' challenge is to capture a sunflare. So, I set to work yesterday with my super fancy Nikon.
No clue what focus or ISO. All I know is I was sitting half-way on the fireplace screaming while flipping my camera around in every angle. *79 other photos were hurt in the process of taking this one.
I think the goal of this project is to learn how to achieve a good shot. Unfortunately, my haphazard way of taking photos doesn't really lend itself to "learning" from mistakes since I can't remember what I did. It is similar to how I used to play Nintendo. Just push every button and move the controller around like a maniac until Mario jumps into the green warp.
But I did remember that I caught a few other awesome sunflares in my day. Thanks to my point and click which did all the work for me.

Oh my gosh, Lisa. You win. Those- all of them- are gorgeous. The sun flare in that first one? WIth the arrangement of the kids? Couldn't have been better if you'd tried to stage it.
ReplyDeleteThanks for linking up. Hope to see you next week!
Well! You have got the whole sun flare thing well under control! That top photo is heartwarming and totally captures family life with lots of little ones.
ReplyDeleteYou are a liar! There is no way you did these by accident. Did you really? I bow to your greatness.
ReplyDeleteWowza! They all look awesome!
ReplyDeletethe first one of elena in the grass is extremely good.
ReplyDeletei might have 2 or 3 pics like this by accident. so is it supposed to be a sunflare and you fix it via editing or is it just take a sun flare on purpose ? I think they are neat when they occur in photos and I like them.
The first pic looks like an Emo rock band photo. El is rocking some major serious. And the older pictures only remind me HOW BIG sweet Leo and Elena are! Now I have baby fever again. For real.
ReplyDeleteDang Girl.. I want to talk about the sun flare, but I can't take my eyes off those sweet rolls on your beautiful baby!
