And so it begins - Staging

TO THIS!

Would you buy this house???

But what you can't see is what is hiding below the camera ;)

Holy moly this is exhausting.  Any tips on how to live in a house while keeping it perfect?  Or am a destined for take-out until we sell??

  1. except for being expensive, living on take-out might not be the worst thing.

  3. We are in the same boat, and our realtor said just keep it as tidy as possible, people understand you are LIVING in that house with kids, and make sure you get a 24 hour heads up for a showing!

  4. I got. Gigantic plastic storage box. If I had an unexpected showing or the place was a mess, I just threw everything in the box, shut the lid, and threw it in the basement. I buckled the monkeys in the car, turned on a video, and ran in to mop the kitchen and mud room in less than 2 minutes.
Good luck. I think you live in Maine, too, and I've noticed houses are finally moving off the market much more quickly now.

  5. My goodness! My favorite parts are the open liquor and knife cabinet and the lysol hanging from the curtain rod! :) You do have a lovely kitchen, I bet it sells fast (so you don't have to live in pseudo-perfection for long!)

  6. bahahahaha!!! it SUCKS! Since we only had 1 showing I can just tell you what our plan was! our realtor suggested a big box to throw everything into whenever you have a showing. I also asked for 30 min to an hour notice and we spent a lot of time outside.
