All things Gale: Five Favorites (#2)

1) I finally found the perfect loaf of sourdough bread. I make it every 3 days and we munch on jelly bread frequently now. It took a few tries to find the perfect loaf and the easiest preparation. And this is it!

2) Leo is lactose-sensitive so I keep ending up with lots of leftover raw milk in the fridge. There are lots of things you can do with soured raw milk, but my new favorite is to catch it when it isn't too sour and make cheese!! I recently made cottage cheese and ricotta. The homemade cheese isn't even comparable to cheese you get in the store. It is seriously so amazing!

3) We were gifted this gorgeous 5 burner gas cooktop from our friends Brooke and Eric and we were so excited to put it in that Jason tried to install it right away. Turns out the gas line to the kitchen was cut years ago and we need to pay a lot of moolah to have it run through to the kitchen again. Worth it? I think so!!

4) Texas is beautiful this time of year. And our oversized backyard is like something out of my dreams!!

5) My indulgent and amazing smelling face moisturizer from Jessica's Apothecary. 2-3 drops each evening on my face is all it takes to feel like a new woman. Jessica is a local small business owner and her products are to die for!!
