Food for the poor???

I had a dream the other night.  In my dream, I prepared a meal for my brother and sister-in-law and put it in my fridge.  In this magical dream world, I "willed" the meal to their fridge and BAM!  They opened their refrigerator and the meal was there.  We have the suction tubes for bank deposits.  Has it been invented for any other useful tasks???

I have been cooking and preparing meals a lot recently.  I am not able to do much else with 2 small children.  I can't help clean or do laundry or unpack, etc.  I can cook for them though!  I prepared a big meal for my little brother and his wife last Wednesday.  After loading the kids and the meal in my car, I was notified that they were in the hospital delivering the babies.  I brought the meal to my moms house instead and we shared it around. 

Sunday morning I prepared this delicious Chicken and Broccoli Braid for my brother and his wife:

While I was preparing this dish, my children were playing around my feet.  At one point, Leo and Elena got into the bags of boxed food for our Thankgiving basket for the poor.  Leo was trying to figure out why the food was stuffed under the kitchen table instead of in the cupboards.  I tried to explain it to him.

Me:  Leo, Mom is going to bring that food to all the people who have no food to eat.  They are hungry.

Leo:  Hungig? 

Me:  Yes, they are hungry so we are going to make sure they get some food to eat.

Leo:  Oh!  Food.  Unc Mite and Aunt Nitole.  Num nums.  Hungig?

Me:  Yes.  Uncle Mike and Aunt Nicole are hungry so we are going to feed them...

I guess we have been bringing food over there quite regularly.  We're only over there once a week but I do spend a lot of time bribing him into behaving while I cook.  Yesterday, I threw the Cheerioes box in the living room and told them to have at it while I braided.  Leo is very clever at sharing.  For example.  When he had some fruit loops, I asked him to share some with Elena.  He found the tiniest crumb that was shriveled and ugly and picked it out.  He said "Here you go El!"  Clever...

I am preparing another dish this Thursday and am plum out of ideas.  Any recipes you care to share?
