My 19-year-old cashier was a little antsy. He turned his light off as he started to ring me out. When he saw me reach into my coupon organizer, he got a little nervous. "How many coupons do you have today?" I only had 3 coupons. He rang the 1st one and it didn't work so he had to force it. Then he quickly scanned the other two and asked me to pay. I thought the machine did something funny so I asked, "Did they both go through?" - he said "Yup!" So, I paid the boy. He threw me the receipt and ran to the bathroom...
Total before coupons: $21.99
I had 3 coupons totaling $9.91
Total after coupons: $16.01
HUH?!
I found a manager. She quickly went back to the Customer Service desk to see why the $5.00 off 5 Kraft items didn't work. She came out moments later with a $5.00 bill and an apology.
I never saw the cashier again - poor kid - I genuinly hope he's okay ;)
Target in general is really bad about getting coupons to go through. I learned that the hard way and have found others complaining about it as well.
